Leaves of Absence – An Employer Nightmare!

California and Federal laws obligate employers to provide employees with leaves of absence in a number of circumstances. In addition to the federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the California Family Rights Act (CFRA), employers must deal with leaves for pregnancy disability, workers’ compensation, sick leave and other laws that grant employees leave entitlements.
